Progress...

Today is my first day traveling to the NICU without DH. It's hard to make this adjustment. Ive had him with me since my water broke over a week ago and i never imagined him being gone within days of their birth.

But this is how my whole story has gone, I suppose. Filled with twists and unexpected turns. Whatever plan I seem to make is soon tossed aside as fate ( or something bigger than myself) takes over the wheel.

Despite the sudden detour in our lives, Mason and Christopher continue to make improvements everyday. Today, both Mason and Christopher are gaining weight and being feed breastmilk through their feeding tubes: Mason is on 4-6cc and Christopher getting 2cc's today.
Christopher has had no alarms today (knock on wood) and Mason has only had two, the last at 2am.
They are also both off the bili-lights which help their bodies when their bilirubin levels are too high.

Currently, they are all snugged in tight, looking absolutely adorable. They will hopefully sleep as I continue to pump, anxiously awaiting Daddy's return this afternoon.

Mason... Happy to be wrapped and off the lights.

Christopher...loves sleeping on his tummy!
